AB 885 Public Meeting Cancelled Due to Huge Turnout!

Here's a short video I took as it was announced the meeting had to be canceled due to safety hazards from overcrowding.  The audio isn't that good, but you can get the mood of the crowd!

AB 885- PROPOSED SEPTIC SYSTEM REGULATIONS

IMPORTANT- UPCOMING MEETINGS REALTORS® SHOULD ATTEND!

These draft regulations will impact homeowners and those REALTORS® that sell country property.

Assembly Bill 885 is a proposed, statewide regulation for onsite wastewater treatment systems (septic systems).  C.A.R. is concerned that, if enacted, these regulations will make it too burdensome to own a property with a septic system.  AB 885 also includes a point-of-sale requirement to transfer technical documents.  

The State Water Resources Control Board is holding public workshops around the state to allow comment on the latest version of draft statewide septic regulations. There are a number of meetings that the REALTOR® community should attend, these meetings are outlined below.  

Please pass this information on to ANYONE who might be interested or impacted.
